Biamp Workplace Tools Desktop App Release Notes

Release notes for the Biamp Workplace Tools desktop app used for discovering, connecting, adding Biamp Workplace audiovisual and bridge devices to Workplace organizations.

New Features 

  • Unified Configuration App: Workplace Tools combines all Biamp device configuration utilities — Tesira Setting, Camera Config, UCC Config, and Bridge Devices Config — into a single desktop application, so installers and administrators no longer need to juggle separate programs for each device family. 
  • Device Discovery: The Connect screen finds Biamp devices on the local network and in your organization's cloud-registered fleet, with a single searchable, filterable view and a local-only toggle for on-site work. 
  • Manual IP Management: Add devices that are not on the local broadcast domain by entering their IP address manually; entries persist between sessions and show live reachability status in the device table. 
  • Site Inventory: The Devices screen organizes your registered devices within the full location hierarchy, with drag-and-drop reassignment, bulk operations across multiple devices, and automatic refresh every 30 seconds. 
  • Firmware Management: Stage and apply firmware updates for individual devices, batches, or entire device families from a single screen, with a live update queue and per-device firmware history. 
  • Guest Mode: Access local device discovery and basic configuration tools without signing in — ideal for bench testing or site visits where a cloud session is not available. 
  • Organization Switching: Switch between organizations directly from the app header after sign-in, with automatic region routing between US and EU environments. 
  • Light and Dark Themes: Choose between light and dark application themes; your preference is saved and restored between sessions.

Getting Started 

  1. Download the installer for your platform from the Biamp partner portal. 
  2. Launch Workplace Tools and sign in with your Biamp Workplace credentials, or choose Continue as guest for local-only workflows. 
  3. Select your organization (if prompted) and navigate to Connect to find devices on the network. 
  4. For help at any time, open the Tools Assistant from the navigation rail or visit the About screen for version information and diagnostic logs. 

Reporting Issues 

To help us resolve issues quickly, please include the following when contacting support: 

  • The application version (visible on the About screen) 
  • Your organization name and region (US or EU) 
  • The steps that triggered the issue and any error messages displayed
