Valid IR codes

You will discover that sometimes the IR code you have captured works and sometimes not. To
ensure that a code will be consistently reliable, you can examine each IR code captured and deter-
mine whether or not it is a valid IR code.

What is a valid IR code?

Below you can see examples of what a valid IR code and an invalid code looks like.

• IR signal of “clean” IR code is more recognizable by IR receiver
• Some non-standard IR codes can be misunderstood or stalled by the IR receiver
• Valid code is shorter and replaying it takes less time in macros.

You can visually check a valid IR code’s accuracy: the length of every valid IR code for each remote
should be almost the same, except perhaps for buttons like volume.
