Resetting a keypad to the factory default

Applies to the Oscar, Echo, Echo Plus, and Uniform controllers.

To reset a keypad without an uSD card:

  1. Remove the keypad's power source. Reminder: these units can be powered via USB as well as PSU or PoE, so make sure you unplug all of the possible power sources before proceeding.
  2. Press and hold the top and bottom buttons on the keypad's left side (1 and 2 on Oscar; 1 and 4 on Echo, Echo Plus, and Uniform) while reconnecting the unit to its power source. Keep the buttons pressed for approximately 5 seconds.
  3. When LEDs 1,2 and 3 on the keypad start blinking, the network settings and design are restored to the factory defaults. Note: This LED combination indicates no project can be found on the controller.

Please note, this reset does not affect the controller firmware.
