PIN and RFID: How to enable digital identification requirements

How to enable digital identification requirements for user actions booking desks and rooms.

 

 

Enablement recommendation

Enabling these digital ID requirements prevents visitors and employees without a PIN or RFID tags from accessing the booking functions described below. Always ensure these digital ID types are set up and ready for use before enabling ID requirements.

Biamp does not recommend enabling digital ID requirements unless your organization is a large one or the booking system is accessible to the general public.

 

 

Location

Digital identification PIN and RFID requirement settings are located in each organization's admin console in the Workplace admin portal.

  • The settings are located under the console Admin tab on the Settings page's Desk and Room settings tabs.

Enabling desks RFID and PIN identification requirements

RFID identification requirements for three user actions can be enabled for all Kleeo desks in an organization. 

 

1. Select the Admin tab, select the Settings cog icon, and then select the Desk settings tab.

2. Scroll down to the RFID/PIN Identification section of the Desk settings page.

 

3. Check the boxes for the booking action options that digital ID will be required to initiate. 

  • Require identification to book desks in the organization.
  • Require identification to check into desks in the organization.
  • Require identification to extend or check out of booked desks in the organization.

4. Select the Save button.

 

 

Enabling Naso rooms RFID/PIN identification 

RFID and PIN identification requirements for three user actions can be enabled for all room booking devices in an organization. 

 

1. Select the Admin tab, then select the Settings cog icon, and then select the Rooms settings tab.

2. Scroll down to the RFID/PIN Identification section of the Rooms settings page.

 

3. Check the boxes for the booking action options that digital ID will be required to initiate. 

  • Require identification to book desks in the organization.
  • Require identification to check into desks in the organization.
  • Require identification to extend or check out of booked desks in the organization.
