Deciphering the error

The key to understanding the root cause of the error in this case is to note the current date/time as it was reported in the error.  In the screenshot provided the date/time is clearly inaccurate.

In this screenshot the DSP in question has its date and time very far in the past, so far in fact that the NTP server was not syncing its clock anymore

Resolving the error

The issue is simply to update or correct the time on the device in question.  For a Tesira DSP this is a simple task in device maintenance window of the Tesira software

A user can from this window:

  • Sync the Tesira DSP to your PC clock, thus resolving the issue.
  • Ensure that the NTP that the Tsira DSP is pointed to is the correct one.
  • Manually assign a current date and time to the unit.

Any of the three options will resolve the errors in this case.
