Biamp Workplace Connect Requirements

An overview of required hardware, as well as accounts and access types needed for successfully getting started with Biamp Workplace Connect.

 

Equipment

The Biamp Workplace Connect desktop application is intended for installation on a computer. That computer will connect to networks where devices will be discovered and added to Workplace organizations. This includes:

  • A corporate or building network with access to the AV system and its devices.
  • Directly connecting to the Ethernet port on a Tesira Bridge or server for the AV system.

 

 

Accounts and Access

You will need:

  • An active Biamp Workplace account.
  • Administration-level rights to each Biamp Workplace organization you will assign supported devices to.

 

 

Firmware Requirements

Tesira

  • Supported devices: The spring 2025 firmware update for Tesira adds support for most Tesira devices. For a complete list of supported devices, click here

  • Not yet supported: Rev A TesiraFORTÉs, Tesira Server, and Server IO are not yet supported. 

  • Firmware requirement: Supported Tesira devices must be updated to Tesira firmware version 5.0 or higher to be compatible with Biamp Workplace.
