Release notes for the Biamp Workplace Tools desktop app used for discovering, connecting, adding Biamp Workplace audiovisual and bridge devices to Workplace organizations.

Workplace Connect 1.1 — Release Notes 

Highlights of what's new since release 1.0.2. This release focuses on expanded device configuration, a refreshed application shell, and improved sign-in and visibility behavior. 

New device configuration 

  • MAX Connect settings added — MAX Connect now contains a similar settings to what is available on the device web console. 
  • Wireless network configuration — wired/wireless network tabs with HTTPS and 802.1x support. 
  • Device Logs screen — view and download device logs directly from the app. 
  • Firmware update — unified Update Firmware dialog with both Local and Cloud options, a cloud version picker, and downgrade support. 
  • Tesira settings — advanced settings restored, Devio firmware support, and standalone-mode polish. 

Application shell & navigation 

  • Redesigned Apps dropdown — a Local / Cloud app switcher with a shared application header across MAX Connect, Tesira, and other apps; theme toggle and Support moved into the header. 
  • Connection status pill — the Devices table now shows a Connection pill in place of the IP column, with consistent styling across local and cloud devices. 

Sign-in, accounts & visibility 

  • Org-based visibility — device status, location, and cloud connection are now gated by org visibility, with org names shown for enrolled devices and multi-select on the Devices tab. 
  • Login resilience — a cancel button to recover from a hung OIDC login, plus fixes for auto-login after a password change and 2FA handling.

  • Unified Configuration App: Workplace Tools combines all Biamp device configuration utilities — Tesira Setting, Camera Config, UCC Config, and Bridge Devices Config — into a single desktop application, so installers and administrators no longer need to juggle separate programs for each device family. 
  • Device Discovery: The Connect screen finds Biamp devices on the local network and in your organization's cloud-registered fleet, with a single searchable, filterable view and a local-only toggle for on-site work. 
  • Manual IP Management: Add devices that are not on the local broadcast domain by entering their IP address manually; entries persist between sessions and show live reachability status in the device table. 
  • Site Inventory: The Devices screen organizes your registered devices within the full location hierarchy, with drag-and-drop reassignment, bulk operations across multiple devices, and automatic refresh every 30 seconds. 
  • Firmware Management: Stage and apply firmware updates for individual devices, batches, or entire device families from a single screen, with a live update queue and per-device firmware history. 
  • Guest Mode: Access local device discovery and basic configuration tools without signing in — ideal for bench testing or site visits where a cloud session is not available. 
  • Organization Switching: Switch between organizations directly from the app header after sign-in, with automatic region routing between US and EU environments. 
  • Light and Dark Themes: Choose between light and dark application themes; your preference is saved and restored between sessions.

Getting Started 

  1. Download the installer for your platform from the Biamp partner portal. 
  2. Launch Workplace Tools and sign in with your Biamp Workplace credentials, or choose Continue as guest for local-only workflows. 
  3. Select your organization (if prompted) and navigate to Connect to find devices on the network. 
  4. For help at any time, open the Tools Assistant from the navigation rail or visit the About screen for version information and diagnostic logs. 

Reporting Issues 

To help us resolve issues quickly, please include the following when contacting support: 

  • The application version (visible on the About screen) 
  • Your organization name and region (US or EU) 
  • The steps that triggered the issue and any error messages displayed 

Submit reports through your usual Biamp support channel.
