2 - Adding the Biamp OAuth App and Connecting the Platforms

How to add the Biamp OAuth, link the Zoom and Biamp platforms, import Zoom locations into a Biamp Workplace organization, and verify that the process was successful.

Process overview

The Biamp app is an OAuth app linking your Zoom Account to a Biamp Workplace organization. Creating the connection is completed in a single workflow that starts in the Zoom App Marketplace. Authorization takes place on the Zoom side, then a Biamp Workplace organization is selected or created on the Biamp Workplace side, connected to, and automatically initiates syncing with the Zoom Account. The workflow can be completed in a single session without closing the browser tab.

Add the Biamp OAuth App in Zoom

1. Sign in to Zoom App Marketplace (https://marketplace.zoom.us) with your Zoom user identity.

  • Reminder: Your Zoom user identity must have an Owner or Admin role assigned to it in the Zoom Account.

2. Search for "Biamp" and open the app listing page.

3. Add the app and authorize it.

  • Click "Add".
  • Zoom will then show the permissions the app requires
    • Viewing and managing workspaces
    • Reservations
    • QR codes
    • Vendor device information.
  • Review the permissions list and click "Allow".

Connect the Zoom Workspace and Biamp Workplace

1. If you are not already signed into Biamp Workplace on the browser with Zoom tab, a Biamp Workplace login window will appear after authorizing the OAuth App. Enter your Biamp Workplace credentials and continue.

  • You will be automatically advanced to the next step if you are already signed into an active Biamp Workplace session in the browser.

Reminder: You can create a free Biamp Workplace account at Biamp Workplace (https://workplace.biamp.app).

2. On Biamp Workplace admin portal's home page, select or create your Biamp Workplace organization that will host the imported Zoom locations. Making this selection triggers the integration, locations import, and ongoing synchronization between the Zoom Workspaces Management and Biamp Workplace.

  • The Select organization screen lists the Organizations available to your Biamp Workplace account.
  • Choose the organization that will be managed by Zoom, or create a new one with Create organization.

The Biamp Workplace admin portal home page.

Connection established

  • Selecting an organization in the Biamp Workplace admin web portal opens the organization's console.
  • A green "Zoom connected successfully" message will appear at the bottom of the page.

The organization's console on the Insight's page showing the green Zoom connected message.

Synchronization

Synchronization starts automatically. No manual sync is needed.

  • Zoom buildings, floors, and desks from Zoom Management will appear in the Organization within seconds.
  • The imported locations are marked as Managed by Zoom.

Verify the result

In the Biamp Workplace amin portal's organization console, go to Organization settings. The Zoom Workspace panel under the settings should show:

  • A green "Connected" status
  • The Last successful sync timestamp
  • The count of Zoom Managed Locations.

The Organization page Zoom section.

Is the Zoom connection missing in the Biamp Workplace organization?

Closing the workflow before selecting a Biamp Workplace organization can leave the integration incomplete. If this has happened, the OAuth app will show as added in Zoom Marketplace but no Zoom Workspace will be visible in the Biamp Workplace organization's settings, in the Zoom Workspace section.

How to fix this:

  1. Open the app page in Zoom Workplace Management.
  2. Remove the app.
  3. Sign out of Zoom Workplace, then sign back in.
  4. Repeat and complete all the steps in the "Add The OAuth app..." and connect the workplaces procedures in this article.

Verify the mirrored structure

Check that locations have been successfully imported

The Biamp Workplace organization console will display the locations automatically imported from the Zoom Workspaces hierarchy.

  • The imported locations can be found on the organization console's Locations page. These are marked with a Zoom icon in the Location tree and labeled "Managed by Zoom" in the details panel by the location's name.

Check for setup warnings before provisioning

Individual desks may have incomplete configurations on the Zoom side. This is indicated in Biamp Workplace on the console Locations page by a "Setup incomplete" badge. Clicking on the badge provides an explanation of the issue.

Fix before for proceeding: The incomplete setup and all warnings must be resolved in the Zoom Web Portal under Workspaces Management before the Kleeo devices can be provisioned.

Reminder: Zoom-managed locations cannot be edited in Biamp Workplace.
