Rooms: Buildings and Locations

This article describes the Buildings & Locations section of the Rooms page on Evoko Home. This page is only visible to Global Admin users.

Importing Rooms

There are several ways to add Rooms to Evoko Home.

  • Import Rooms from your account: enter the email address for the Resource Group to import any Rooms not already present
  • Add a single Room: enter the email address for a Rooms resource to import that Room if not already present
  • Import Rooms from CSV file: provide a CSV file to import any structures and Rooms if not already present

Importing Rooms from a CSV requires a file containing the following fields:

displayName;numberOfSeats;email;country;city;building;floor

Rooms that have not yet been added to a Location will be listed below the Import options. Click the 🔍︎ Filter Rooms icon to filter the list by name.

Adding and editing Locations and assigning Rooms

Enter a Country, City, Building, and Floor, then click Add to add that Location to Evoko Home. After adding a Location, only the Floor field will clear, allowing you to add multiple Floors to the same Building without having to re-enter the entire Location. You can rename an existing Country, City, or Building by hovering over its name and clicking the 🖉 Rename icon, or delete it by clicking the REMOVE button.

To add a Room to a Floor, click and drag the Room tile from the list onto the Floor tile.

Editing Buildings

You can edit a Building by hovering over its name and clicking the Edit button. From the Edit page, you can:

  • Add Floors to the Building
  • Remove Floors from the Building, which will return any assigned Rooms to the Buildings & Locations Rooms list
  • Delete the Building, which will return all associated Rooms to the Buildings & Locations Rooms list
  • Assign Rooms to Floors by dragging the Room tile to the Floor tile
    • You will be prompted with the option to keep the Room's existing settings or inherit settings from the Floor
    • You can also unassign a room by dragging it into the No Specific Floor pane
  • Return an unassigned Room to the Buildings & Locations Rooms list by clicking the Remove button

When finished, click the Close button to return to the Monitoring section of the Rooms page.
