Booking, Extending, and Ending Meetings with the Naso

Users can book rooms remotely using the Biamp Workplace Booking app. Additionally, a room can be booked now onsite by using the meeting room's Naso touch panel, or booked at a future date and time.

 

 

Booking a meeting now

To book a room that is currently available:

1. Tap the Book Now button to bring up the Booking screen.

2. Select a start and an end time for the meeting on the Booking screen.

  • If the room is available
    • It can be booked from now until the next booked meeting or until the room closes for the day. 
    • Some booking systems may set additional limits on when the room can be booked. 

3. Tap the Book or Identify button.

  • Tapping the Book button to save the meeting.

 

Identify button

If the booking system settings require a digital ID to book rooms:

  • Tap the Identify button and then enter your personal ID PIN

  • Tap the Identify button and then tap your ID card on the card reader as indicated on the screen. 

 

 

Booking a meeting in the future

A future meeting may be booked using the Naso panel.

1. Tap the calendar icon near the top left of the Naso panel screen.

2. Select a start time and date

  • The room's booking schedule will be available on the screen. Tap the green Book button for a time slot to set a meeting within that period.
  • Tap the chevron arrow next to today's date at the bottom of the panel screen to show the available times for upcoming days.  

3. Set a start time and an end time within the available time slot using the.

4. Tap the Book button, or tap the Identify button if required, and use your digital ID. 

 

 

 

Starting a meeting 

Unless the booking system settings require a check-in, meetings will start automatically.

Check in if required

If required by booking system settings, the screen will display a Check in prompt. 

  • Depending on the system's settings, you may be able to check in prior to the start of the meeting. 

  • Checking in may require a digital ID PIN or card, depending on the system settings. 

Missed check-in cancellations

The meeting will end if the required check-in is missed.

  • The length of time before the booked meeting is canceled depends on the booking system's settings. For example, a system may have a 15-minute grace period to check in after the booked start time. 

 

 

Ending or extending a meeting

During the booked time, the meeting can be ended or extended. 

Ending

1. Tap the End Now button to end the meeting.

  • The booking system settings may require a digital ID PIN code or ID card to end a meeting.

Extending

If the room is available after the scheduled end of the underway meeting, that meeting can be extended by tapping the Extend button.

1. Tap the Extend button.

2. Set a time for ending the meeting. 

  • Note: The meeting can not be extended past the start of the next booked meeting or the end of the room's availability for the day.

3. Tap the Continue button. 

  • The booking system settings may require a digital ID PIN code or ID card to extend a meeting.
