How to enable AES-67 on a Biamp BMA360D mic array
This shows you were to enable AES-67 mode for the Biamp BMA 360D microphone.

To enable AES-67 on a Biamp BMA 360D mic array you will need a copy of Dante controller.

Enabling AES-67 in the Dante controller software

Step 1:  Discover the BMA 360D in Dante controller via the Dante IP address

So long as your network interface is on the same subnet as the Dante IP address this should happen automatically.

Troubleshooting notes:

  • If you are struggling to find the Dante IP address check out te BMA configuration software's Admin page
  • You can also perform a factory reset, this will clear the configuration and reset both control and Dante IPs to DHCP.

Step 2: Open device view

The easiest way to do that is to simply double click on the  device in the device information list.  This will open the device view.

Step 3: Navigate to "RTP Config" and change the RTP Mode

Under the "RTP Config" tab there are two options "None" and "AES67"  To turn on AES67 mode toggle this to "AES67"

Step 4: Reboot the mic when prompted

A popup window in Dante controller will prompt you to reboot the mic.  Do this and the Mic will be in AES-67 mode.

Things to consider:

  • When routing Biamp BMA 360D Mic arrays to Tesira they will both use Dante as both are Dante capable devices
  • A factory reset will revert the mic back to Dante mode.
  • you can also check your clock under "Clock config" still in the device view:
