How to perform a factory reset of a BMA 360D mic

In the event that a BMA 360D microphone is no longer discoverable, or is not responsive, it is possible to perform a factory reset of the mic array this process:

  • Reverts an IP address for device discovery back to DHCP
  • Changes the Mic name to a factory default setting
  • Sets the Dante IP address back to its factory setting of DHCP
  • sets the Beam preset to Rectangle with 8 beams
  • Sets the LED brightness to high with red being muted and blue un-muted

Via physical reset

The BMA 360D has 4 triangular LEDs located near one of the edges of the microphone.  To the right of these LEDs is another triangular opening that does not light up.  To perform the factory reset simply press in with a paperclip carefully until you feel a  button press.  When done successfully the LEDs flash yellow.

Via software

Note that this step requires an active connection via the BMA Console App. From the admin screen in the software below "Device Information" section there is a "Control" section. From there you can perform a soft reboot, send a configuration, or a factory reset
