Qt X Network ports and protocols

This article details all of the ports and protocols used by Qt X devices, as well as the ports and protocols used by PCs running Qt X software or discovering controllers via the web UI.

The Qt X system can be configured for single cable or dual cable modes which will determine what protocols are seen on each corresponding LAN port respective to the running mode. The web UI is reachable via both the Control or Media IP address in both modes.

Control

Port TCP / UDP Protocol Notes
5353 UDP mDNS Device discovery

mDNS port is enabled and not configurable.

443 TCP HTTPS Web management interface.

Note: SSH and Telnet ports are not used in any of the Qt X controllers and are not open.

AVB

Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps)

Depending on network configurations in Qt X setup, the AVB/Dante ports may also utilize the Control NIC protocols

Port TCP / UDP Protocol Notes
