How to uninstall and remove all data associated with Evoko Home on Windows Server?

In some instances, customers may want to uninstall Evoko Home and remove all of the data associated with the configuration.

This guide will walk you through uninstalling Evoko Home, removing Mongo/Node, and then deleting the old database files.

Run the Evoko Home Uninstaller

  1. Find the installer you used to originally to set up Evoko Home and Run as Administrator. Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.33.39 AM.png
  2. Select Uninstall Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.34.45 AM.png
  3. Once complete you should get the Uninstall Successfully Completed message.  Press Close. Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.39.17 AM.png
  4. Now proceed to Uninstall MongoDB and NodeJS.

Uninstall Monogo DB and NodeJS

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel on the Windows Server.
  2. Navigate to Uninstall a Program
  3. Select MongoDB and press Uninstall Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.43.42 AM.png
  4. If prompted if you are sure you want uninstall Mongo, press Yes.  Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.44.35 AM.png
  5. If prompted to close Mongo if running, press OK Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.46.00 AM.png
  6. You should now see MongoDB no longer in the list of installed programs.  (Repeat the steps for MongoDB Tools if desired).  Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.46.34 AM.png
  7. We will now need to uninstall NodeJS.  Select NodeJS from the list and press Uninstall.  Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.48.22 AM.png
  8. If prompted if you are sure you want uninstall NodeJS, press Yes.  Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.50.03 AM.png
  9. You should now see NodeJS no longer in the list of installed programs. Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.51.19 AM.png
  10. You can now proceed to deleting the Mongo and Node directories.

Deleting the Mongo and Node Directories

  1. There are [2] folders that needed to be deleted once Evoko Home and its dependencies have been uninstalled.  The [2] folders can be found here: 
    1. C:\Program Files\Evoko
    2. C:\Program Files\MongoDB Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.56.49 AM.png
  2. Right click with these [2] Folders Select and Press Delete Screenshot 2024-06-03 at 10.58.38 AM.png
  3. Evoko Home has been completely removed from the Windows Server.
  4. It is recommended that you restart the Windows Server before installing any new or additional software.
