Migrating Liso panels to a new server

This article explains how to migrate Evoko Liso panels to a new server with a different IP address. The new server must be running a restored backup of the old server; migration is not intended to move Liso panels from one Evoko Home configuration to another, different configuration.

Back up the old server

These steps should be performed on the old server.

  1. From the Global Settings page on Evoko Home, scroll down to the Backup section.

  2. Enter and re-enter an encryption secret. You will need this to decrypt the backup. Click Backup.

  3. You will receive a notification that the backup file was successfully created.

  4. Click the link to download the latest backup to your computer.

Restore the backup on the new server

These steps should be performed on the new server, after installing Evoko Home (for Windows Server; Ubuntu).

  1. From the Welcome page, click Restore Home application and settings from a backup.

  2. Click Browse and select the backup file.

  3. Enter the encryption secret that was used when the backup was created. Click Restore.

  4. You will receive a notification that the application was successfully restored from the backup file.

You can then log into Evoko Home using an existing username and password.

Migrate Liso devices to the new server

These steps should be performed on the old server and will only affect Lisos that are online and connected to the old server.

  1. From the Settings section of the Rooms page on Evoko Home, click the ☑ Check Box to select one or more Rooms.

  2. Click the Migrate Devices button.

  3. Enter and re-enter the static IP address or FQDN of the Evoko Home server. The default port is 3002.

  4. Click the Migrate button to migrate the Lisos.
