Evoko Home Installation: Windows Server

This article explains downloading and installing Evoko Home in Windows Server 2022.

Pre-installation configurations

Before downloading and installing Evoko Home:

  1. Configure your server to use a static IPv4 address.

  2. Configure the firewall to allow traffic for Evoko Home.

    • Windows Defender: In Windows Defender Firewall, create an Inbound Rule allowing TCP connections on local ports 3000-3002 across all network profiles.

    • Other firewalls: Other firewalls may require additional rules; see System Requirements for all required ports.

Download and install Evoko Home

  1. Download the latest version of Evoko Liso Home Windows from Biamp Downloads.

  2. Right-click on the downloaded file and click Run As Administrator.

  3. In the Evoko Home installer, read and agree to the license terms and conditions, then click Install. The Evoko Home installer will install the NodeJS and MongoDB dependencies automatically if they are not already present.

  4. Once finished, the Evoko Home Setup Wizard will appear. Click Next.

  5. Evoko Home Setup will prompt for an installation directory. We recommend the default location. Click Next.

  6. Evoko Home Setup will prompt for MongoDB configuration parameters. MongoDB is where all information is stored for the Evoko Home application. Documenting the MongoDB username and password credentials is critical. If the credentials are lost, it is nearly impossible to recover the database if a future restore is needed. We recommend using the following parameters:

Username: evoko_user
Password: evoko_pass
Name: evoko_db
Endpoint: localhost:27017

  1. After entering the MongoDB configuration parameters, click Next.

  2. Start the installation by clicking Install.

  3. When the installation is completed, click Finish.

  4. The Evoko Home installer will report when the installation is completed. Click Close.

To verify that the Evoko Home service is running, open a Command Prompt and type sc query evokohomeservice.
