Using the MPX200 with a Microsoft Teams Room PC
Connect to the MTR PC
The green halo light on the top of the MPX200 controller module top indicates the controller is in idle mode and its USB-C cables are available to connect to.
- The Microsoft Teams Room PC will use 1 of the controller's 4 USB-C cables.
Connecting user devices
Each section of the halo light will brighten when its UBC-C cable is connected to a user's device.
- This brighter illumination indicates the connected device is charging.
- The halo for USB cables that are not connected will dim.
Screen Sharing
Pressing the touch button next to a connected cable port on the controller starts screen sharing with the connected device using HDMI-Ingest.
- The halo light section of the screen-sharing device's port will turn blue. The other sections will turn off.
- The system will use the Microsoft Team Room's connected cameras, microphone, and speakers.
Switching screen-sharing devices
Pressing another touch button on a connected port switches the screen sharing to that port's device.
- The light in that section will turn blue and the light will turn off in the other sections.
Changing to BYOM mode
A user can switch to the camera, speaker, and microphone of their connected computer by long pressing the corresponding section button for 2 seconds. This enters the Bring Your Own Meeting mode.
- The entire halo lamp will pulse red a couple of times to indicate the mode switch.
After pulsing, the light for the selected BYOM device will glow a steady red.
- The device's user now has access to their machine's cameras, microphones, and speakers. Additionally, their device is now sharing its screen.
Switch back to HDMI Ingest
To return to HDMI Ingest mode, long press any button for 2 seconds.
- The halo light will pulse blue to indicate the mode switch.
- Microsoft Teams Room device will resume using its cameras, speakers, and microphone. However, screen sharing will remain active.
Stop screen sharing
To stop sharing, press the active touch button on the controller.
- The halo lamp will revert to green and indicate which ports are connected.
Return to idle
When all user device cables are disconnected the controller will return to idle mode.
