SageVue 2.4.0

New Features:

  • Missing Peripheral Alert
    • Provides an alert when equipment is removed from an Easyconnect MPX 100 or Parlè N100 device.
  • Refresh and Clear
    • Ability to clear the cache of removed peripherals devices no longer connected to an Easyconnect MPX 100 or Parlè N100 device.
  • Set Time Zone on Device
    • Enables admins to apply Time Zones to multiple Easyconnect MPX 100 and Parlè N100 devices.

Updates:

  • Improved load time for Firmware Scheduling and Updates
  • .NET Core Upgrade
    • Upgraded to latest .NET, version 8, to ensure a great working environment.
  • Improved User Experience
    • Enhanced SageVue interface to reflect the on-device experience more accurately.
  • Set Device Credentials
    • Users only need to enter Device Credentials once and can bypass entering the password in the future.

Issues:

  • SageVue might stop working if you uninstall .NET 2.
    • If a user uninstalls .NET 2 after installing the latest version of SageVue, it may stop working. This issue can be resolved by running repair functions on all .NET 8 installers in the programs list.
  • Tesira password protected devices only support the "admin" username.
    • When prompted for the username for a password protected Tesira device be sure to use "admin". Submitting a different username will not update the username on the device and the credentials will be rejected.
  • Easyconnect MPX 100 and Parlè N100 devices only support the "admin" username.

New Features:

  • Added support for Parle N 100 and EasyConnect MPX 100 devices, including:
    • Status and device information for all the Parle N 100 and EasyConnect MPX
    • Status and device information for peripheral devices that have been connected to the Parle and EasyConnect devices.
    • Firmware updates for Parle and EasyConnect devices.
    • Firmware updates applied to the Parle and EasyConnect devices will also update the firmware for connected Biamp peripheral devices.

Updates:

  • Tesira layouts generated by versions up through the Tesira 4.7.1 release are now supported.

Resolved Issues:

  • Large deployments of Devio devices are now supported in SageVue.
  • An issue related to the date formats and event scheduling for customers in Australia has been resolved.
  • When credentials for accessing the device are not available or are invalid, the device will report ‘Need to log in’.

Known Issues:

  • Turning off the device discovery for Parle and EasyConnect devices does not persist when the SageVue Manager service is restarted.
  • Extended load times for the Firmware update and Scheduling dialogs.
  • Login failures may require a system restart.

Not included Features:

  • Please note that in this release, we have not incorporated the automatic update and management features for Parlé N 100 and EasyConnect MPX 100 via SageVue. These capabilities are planned for inclusion in a future update.

Resolved Issues:

  • Resolved issue where not all devices were displayed correctly in Scheduler
  • Resolved issue where importing firmware caused delays
  • Resolved issue where Tesira firmware device list was displayed in random order

Known Issues:

  • LDAP groups may not import correctly when they contain several thousand groups.
  • Devices under SageVue Control with associated expanders, need to have SageVue Control cleared before reconfiguring from SageVue
  • Some Network fields occasionally may not be disabled as expected when DHCP is selected when entering Device Network tab. Effected fields may be editable, however non-applicable changes will not be submitted.

  • Devio devices on remote subnets can now be found in SageVue even if there are no Devio units on the local subnet.

  • Users can now import lists IP addresses for Devio devices from CSV files
  • Alerts are generated when firmware updates are started

  • The LDAP support has been upgraded for large sites by adding paging support and new search capabilities for LDAP users

Resolved Issues:

  • Improved Devio discovery across subnets
  • Corrected issues related to removing files from the Layout Library

Known Issues:

  • When an existing SageVue installation is updated to the latest version, the permissions for Maintenance users must be manually checked for them to have access to the LDAP Users panel (Settings | User Roles | Settings | View LDAP Configuration).
  • SageVue installations on Windows Server 2019 have required manual reboots, and there is a timing issue that can cause an error to be reported about the Manager status before it has had a chance to start up.

  • Upgraded SageVue support to the latest Tesira 3.16 version
  • The GET Userinfo API has been deprecated. It will work in this version, but support will be removed in future versions. Use the new POST ExtractInfo API command if using SageVue with a RESTful API interface instead.

Resolved issues:

  • Scheduling a firmware update with a Tesira Connect and other devices will generate two scheduled events, one for the TesiraCONNECT(s) and one for the remaining devices.
  • Corrected an issue related to LDAP SSL certificate validation
  • Minor bug fixing

Known issues:

  • If two TesiraCONNECTs are daisy chained together, then FW updates for the TesiraCONNECTs should be scheduled separately.

Resolved Software Issues:

  • Batched alerts are now being sent.
  • LDAP user picture is now displayed on login.
  • Device credentials are now sent back to the UI when assigning profiles and scheduling events.
  • Asset groups drop down in devices/systems page expands completely on the first click.
  • When deleting asset groups, the devices in that group are moved to the parent group.
  • Profile Compliance checker works for controlled systems.
  • Any new devices assigned to a profile is now considered compliant unless found otherwise.
  • Serial number for Atom devices are now displayed in devices list before logging in.
  • Installer now works when the main drive is not “C:”.
  • On the About page, the Registered To field is now returning correctly.

New Features:

  • Pre-compiled Tesira layout files may be used to configure systems from SageVue.
  • The new Layout Library collects a set of Tesira layouts that can be downloaded or used to configure Tesira Systems.
  • Asset Groups: Users can create a hierarchical arrangement and organize systems into the groups. Ex: "West Campus > Building 3 > Floor 2."
  • System and Devices data may be customized and sorted for viewing by right-clicking on the header of the device or system listings.
  • SageVue now supports monitoring for Biamp CrowdMics ATOM devices.
  • Scheduling: Events such as preset recalls, firmware updates, and reboots may be scheduled for Tesira and Devio devices. Devio Auto Setup may be scheduled. Schedules for Tesira preset recalls may be set with recurring schedules. Ex: Configure a recurring nightly preset recall or preset recalls only on weekends.
  • Device Profiles allow administrators to create groups of devices with settings that may be mass-applied or monitored for compliance.
  • With profile monitoring enabled, non-compliant devices generate an alert and display a visible icon in the Device Profile Assign Profile dialog to allow administrators to determine if settings have been changed on any profiled devices.
  • Alert Filtering provides detailed control of which fault alerts are sent to users. Filtering includes the ability to limit alerts to certain asset groups and control precisely which email addresses and SMS numbers to send each different fault alert. Ex: VoIP administrator only receives VoIP-related alerts for a specific location. 
  • Offline activation workflow for facilities that restrict internet access on SageVue host machines.
  • Locate and Audible Locate are available on the Device Info page for supported devices.

Updates:

  • Improved monitoring and management for Devio devices.
  • Support for Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016
    • Note: Installing user must have local machine admin rights or elevated privilege must be enabled for Windows Installer in Group Policy.
    • Note: Windows Server 2012 R2 must be updated with patch level: "2019-06 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows Server 2012 R2 for x64-based Systems (KB4503276)". Out of date Windows Server 2012 system may experience difficulty installing or operating SageVue.
  • Slight adjustment to menu structure in settings to allow for more items.
  • MAC Address for Tesira devices is now visible in Tesira Device Info page.
  • Search and column settings on Systems and Devices pages are now remembered.

Resolved Software Issues:

  • SageVue may now run on Windows systems with FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) compliance requirements enabled.
  • The logged-in user’s profile now displays a picture if they have one.

Known Issues:

  • The current logged-in user must be a local user to display their picture on the upper left. LDAP users will show a default icon.
  • Cannot update firmware on unconfigured protected devices.

  • View password toggle button in Firmware update page now works when a system row is expanded.
  • Multiple system status messages on the Manage System page now display on separate lines.
  • Device discovery now refreshes with the correct network options after restarting the manager.
  • Device discovery now refreshes with the new network discovery options after an import of a Manager data file.
Known Issues:
  • The user profile picture is not displayed when they are logged in.

Resolved Software Issues:
  • Resolved an issue that could cause Manager settings to be lost after a system restart.
  • Corrected an LDAP issue that reported the wrong state when SSL was enabled.
  • Unconfigured VoIP lines no longer affect active line updates.
  • VoIP proxy addresses defined as domain names are correctly supported. 
  • Changes to the SMTP Settings no longer require a page refresh before they can be saved.
  • The ‘Add’ and ‘Save’ buttons now work consistently when setting the SMS Providers.
Known Issues:
  • When multiple users access History simultaneously, the web site can develop a lag time before the data is repopulated
  • When attempting to Cancel from the Filter Labels page in Microsoft Edge, the user will be redirected back to the Login page. This does not occur in Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox.
