Using a switching relay in Project Designer

If you want to control a Switching Relay -2 (SR-2) with your control system, you need to use the GPIO’s since you won’t find the Relay -2  in the Device List.
You can control the Relay -2 by adding a Digital Output to the I/O ports of your controller and physically connect the Relay -2 to the same ports. You can find the Digital Outputs under Biamp > Digital Inputs/Outputs > “Output”.
You can implement any 3rd party relays following the same procedure.

If you plan to use the relay -2 for controlling a screen you can use the “Screen” device we’ve created.
This device ensures common blockage, runtime and direction and you can find it under Biamp > Digital Inputs/Outputs > “Screen”.
To add the screen device to your design, simply add it to the I/O ports of your controller and physically connect the Relay -2 to the same ports.

Would you want to control Switching Relay -4 or -8 (which are available as Devices in Project Designer) using GPIO's instead of LAN or RS-232, you simply don’t add them as devices to your design. Follow the same procedure as with Digital Outputs as stated above.
