Videoconference clients compatibility
The following is a partial list of popular VC clients that are known to be compatible with the wireless videoconferencing feature of Modena Hub. The VC clients listed here have either been informally tested with Biamp Modena products by Biamp's Modena Support team, or anecdotally shown to be successful in real-world field installations.
Please note that manufacturer specifications can change without notice. Biamp strives to continuously test third party software and keep the compatibility list up to date, but is not always made aware of changes made by third parties to the software referenced, and therefore Biamp cannot guarantee compatibility with any of the products listed on this page. Echo Cancellation
Modena does not provide embedded Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) capabilities.
To avoid unwanted echoes at the far end, Modena is required to work in combination with AEC-enabled hardware. This can be either a DSP (Biamp Devio, Biamp Tesira), a speakerphone, or an all-in-one camera.
In some cases, also a software echo cancellation can be obtained with the use of videoconference clients (Zoom, Microsoft Teams). When used in combination with Modena, the effectiveness of this solution varies greatly depending on several factors that can also change over time, and cannot be guaranteed in any way.

Modena Compatibility With WebEx on Windows
On the Windows version of Webex, select "Microsoft DirectShow" from the Advanced section of the video settings to make the Modena driver visible in the app.
Modena Compatibility With Skype on MacOS
Modena Hub is compatible with Skype client versions 8.68 and later.
There was a known incompatibility of Modena Hub with Skype version 8.60 (May 2020) and later, that didn't allow the possibility to load any 3rd party virtual driver, which includes the wireless A/V driver of Modena Hub.
Modena Compatibility With Teams on MacOS
Modena Hub is compatible with Teams client versions 1.4.00.11161 and later.
There was a known incompatibility of Modena Hub with Teams version 1.3.00.18164 (July 2020) and later, that didn't allow the possibility to load any 3rd party virtual driver, which includes the wireless A/V driver of Modena Hub.
Modena Compatibility With Zoom on MacOS
Modena Hub is compatible with Zoom client versions 5.1.1 and later.
There was a known incompatibility of Modena Hub with older Zoom versions 4.6.9 - 5.1.0 (April - June 2020), that didn't allow the possibility to load any 3rd party virtual driver, which includes the wireless A/V driver of Modena Hub.
