Discover and Connect to a TEC-X

TEC-X control pads come from the factory configured in DHCP mode with a "Link Local" address (IP: 169.254.x.x Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0) as a fallback.

A laptop on the same network as the TEC-X will not discover the control pad unless a Tesira server-class device is present on the same local network. This is because the Tesira server-class device acts as the Proxy for the TEC-X, which means all traffic toward the TEC-X must pass through the server-class device.

When a server-class Tesira device is on the same subnet, your TEC-X will be discovered automatically when using Tesira software.
