Rooms: Settings

This article describes the Settings section of the Rooms page on Evoko Home. This section is visible to Admin users.

Adding a Room

Click the + Add Room button to add a new Room to an existing location.

Note that some fields must be filled in before other fields will become available.

Room Settings

  • Room Name: the name of the Room
  • Room Email: the email address assigned to the Room for booking
  • Number of Seats: the seating capacity of the Room
  • Room Properties: the equipment (projector, telephone, etc.) that is present in the Room
  • Choose Location: the Country, City, Building, and Floor where the Room is located

Device Settings

These settings pertain to any Lisos assigned to this Room.

  • Copy Device Settings from Another Location
  • Display Information: the Time, Date, and booking display format of the Liso
    • Display Find Another Room: whether users can access the Find Another Room screen
    • Display Tentative Meetings: whether to treat the Room as booked or available for tentative meetings
  • Sleep and Wake Up Settings: the days and hours when the Liso will turn off
  • Equipment settings: Enables users to report issues with equipment in the Room using the Liso
  • Booking settings: whether users can book or modify bookings directly from the Liso
    • Require Authentication: whether a user must use a PIN code or RFID to book or modify bookings
    • Allow Users to Modify: whether a user (once authenticated) can modify a booking
  • External Users: whether external users can book or modify bookings directly from the Liso
    • This option is only available if External Users is enabled in the Global Settings
    • External users inherit the same permissions defined in the Booking settings
  • Check-in Settings: whether a user must check-in from the Liso for the meeting to become active

The default device settings for newly-added rooms can be defined from the Global Settings page.

 

 

The Rooms list

Click the 🔍︎ Room Name icon to filter the Rooms list to a specific room.

The Rooms list provides the following information:

  • Countries: the location of the Room (Country only)
  • Room Name/Email: the name of the Room and the email address assigned to it for booking
  • Seats: the seating capacity of the Room
  • Equipment: the equipment (projector, telephone, etc.) that has been added to the Room
    • Click the icon for a given equipment to add or remove it from the Room
    • Click the icon in the header row to add or remove equipment from all Rooms
  • Active: whether the Room is considered part of the booking system
    • Click the toggle slider to activate or deactivate the Room
  • Remove: Click the 🗑︎ Trash Can icon to remove the Room from the booking system

Clicking the ☑ Check Box to the left of one or more Rooms enables the ✓ Edit Selected and Migrate Devices buttons.

  • Edit Selected: modify the Device Settings for any Lisos assigned to these Rooms; see Add Room
  • Migrate Devices: from an old server, enter a new server address running an identical configuration to migrate Lisos to the new server
