Functions and User Interface

The locations of major functions in the Biamp Workplace user interface.

 

 

Administration console function locations

Major functions in the Biamp Workplace web portal are found in the expandable pane on the left side of each organization's administration console.

Insights

Analytics for the current organization can be found under Insights. This includes user behavior and resource utilization.

 

Locations

This is an important tab for building the organization. Under this tab, you can add buildings (locations) and floors to each building. Desks and rooms can then be added to buildings and floors here.

 

Bookings

Current bookings for Evoko system desks and floors can be viewed and managed here.

 

Overview screens

Overview screens showing booking and system information for users can be added, activated, and managed under this tab. This includes providing floor plans showing the phyical location ofrooms and desks.

 

Management & Monitoring

Your organization's devices and their statuses, firmware versions, errors, and locations can be found here. 

 

Users

This is an important tab for managing and adding users to your organization. Under the dropdown sub-tabs, you can view and manage active users, including enabling RFID tags. Invite individual users, org and desk admins, and owners to join the organization. View and manage requests to join the organization. 

 

Licenses

This tab allows you to add device licenses for devices in the organization. For Evoko devices, this is required to make them bookable assets.

 

Settings

Three major configuration areas can be found under Settings.

  • Desk booking settings: Allows you to set the limits granular limits for sessions in which users book a desk. Also covered are enabling three types of user check-in (remote, QR code, and Automatic), three parameters for desk RFID identification in the setting, and late notifications for users who have not checked in to a booked session.
  • Room booking settings: Similar to desk settings, Room booking allows org admins and owners to set five limits for user's booking room sessions such as duration and how many days in advance. Also covered are enabling three types of user check-in (remote, QR code, and Automatic), three parameters for desk RFID identification in the setting, and late notifications for users who have not checked in to a booked session.
  • Organization settings: A broad array of settings for your organization can be edited here.
    • Identifying features such as the organization's name
    • A logo can be added here
    • Time and language settings, as well as opening hours for buildings
    • Set an email address for broken equipment report emails
    • Device fault notification settings
    • Choose a device screen template
    • Add and manage any white-listed domains
    • Callander settings
      • This includes syncing with your institution's Microsoft or Google calendars

 

 

Dark and light mode

The Biamp Workplace user interface can be toggled from light to dark mode in the pane. Note, you may need to scroll down to see this option.

On the homepage, you can select and navigate to organization administration consoles as well as join existing organizations, create new ones, or sign out of Biamp Workplace.
