Error: "Ignoring configuration for MS-1: XX as it was configured with a beta release of the software fix"
The "Ignoring configuration for MS-1: XX as it was configured with a beta release of the software" message may appear when trying to extract a Vocia configuration file from an MS-1/e. This is the software's way of telling a user it does not fully understand what firmware the system is reporting.
Solution
Follow these steps to fix the issue by making sure your PC has the latest Vocia firmware including all products installed.
- Close the Vocia software on the PC
- Download the latest Vocia firmware [Includes all products] from Biamp's website or through Cornerstone.
- After the firmware database has downloaded to the PC, run the .exe to install it to the PC
Once the firmware database installs, you should now be able to open the Vocia software and pull the configuration from the MS-1/e
Note
There's a difference between installing the firmware and updating the firmware. UPDATING FIRMWARE WILL REFORMAT THE MS-1 AND CLEAR CONFIGURATION! Please note the difference to avoid issues.
