Users

This article describes the Users page on Evoko Home. This page is visible to Global Admin users.

 

 

Adding a User

Click the Create User button to add a User to Evoko Home. You will need to specify:

  • Email: this must be a valid email address, as the user's Password will be emailed to this address by the Evoko Home Service Account
  • Full Name
  • Description (optional)
  • Organization (optional)
  • User Type: the set of privileges assigned to this User
    • Global Admin: grants full access to Evoko Home, including the Users and Global Settings pages
    • Local Admin: grants access only to the Monitoring, Settings, and Statistics sections of the Rooms page for their assigned Locations
    • User: grants access only to the Evoko Booking page
    • Statistics User: grants access only to the Statistics section of the Rooms page

 

 

The Users list

Click the 🔍︎ Filter icon to filter the Users list to a specific user.

User information

The Users list provides the following information:

  • Email
  • Full Name
  • Description
  • Organization
  • Type

User management functions

The Users list also provides the following functions for each User:

  • Reset Password: this will automatically generate and email a new password
  • Change PIN: this will automatically generate and email a new PIN
  • Edit: allows you to edit the user's Email, Full Name, Description, Organization, and User Type
    • Global Admins can also change their own Password and PIN
    • RFID settings are visible if Authentication is set to PIN or RFID
      • Change RFID: if RFID Enrollment is set to Admin, you can type in an RFID
      • Replace RFID: if RFID Enrollment is set to Requested, you can grant a user's RFID enrollment request
  • Delete

 

 

Importing and Exporting Users

The Import button provides the following options for importing Users:

  • Import from CSV: import the User list from a CSV file
  • Restore last CSV: restore the User list from before the last CSV import
  • Scheduled Import: schedule automatic User list updates from a CSV file or LDAP server
  • Import from LDAP: import the User list from an LDAP server
  • Restore last LDAP Import: restore the User list from before the last LDAP import

The Export button exports the user list to a CSV file containing the following fields:

username;email;name;description;organization;pin;rfid;type;external

Note: PINs and RFID tags are stored as plain-text in this file.
