SageVue compatibility matrix

Biamp's SageVue software provides monitoring and management for many of Biamp's products. This article describes how different Biamp product lines interact with SageVue. The product matrix below provides a quick overview of which Biamp products work with SageVue, and what functions SageVue can perform for each product line.

Product family details

Tesira

  • Tesira devices can be discovered via the local segments automatically with SageVue.
  • You can also discover devices by manually adding an IP to your SageVue software. More in-depth information and a guide can be discovered here.
  • Once a Tesira device is added to SageVue it will appear on the device list with this icon:Tesira_Indicator.jpg
  • Tesira has extensive functionality with SageVue for a complete rundown please see our help file. Some important sections are listed below:
  • With SageVue you can also send RESTful queries to report on the status of your Tesira boxes More info about Restful can be found here
  • TesiraFORTE X products do not interact with SageVue at this time.

Devio

  • Devio SCR devices can be discovered on the same local subnet as the SageVue server automatically. A user needs to add the Devio authentication to access and see Devio devices. A guide and explanation can be found here.
  • Devio SCR can be discovered via a remote subnet provided there is a router between the two and the IP address is added manually to SageVue.
  • You can import a CSV containing a pre-generated list as well.
  • Once a Devio SCR has been discovered by SageVue it will show up under the device list with this icon:Devio_Indicator.jpg
  • Clicking on the Devio in the Device list will grant you some administrative controls over the selected Devio including:
    • Rebooting the Devio
    • Updating Firmware
    • Initiate Auto-setup remotely
  • You can also use the device list to pull up the administrative webpage of the Devio granting you more control A full primer and list of features can be found here.
  • Devio SCX devices do not interact with SageVue at this time.

Crowd Mics

  • An ATOM hosting Crowd Mics can be discovered by SageVue manually over on the network page. 
    • A full guide can be found here
  • Once added by a user the ATOM can be discovered and will have this icon: CrowdMic_ICON1.png
  • SageVue provides visibility onto a number of settings:
    • Device Info - provides the serial number, IP Address of the device, and if any labels have been assigned to the ATOM (read-only).
    • Network Settings - provides basic network information of the ATOM (read-only) as follows:
      • IP Address
      • Netmask
      • MAC Address
      • DHCP (enabled or disabled)
  • Audio Settings - lists any connected sound cards (read-only)
  • Advanced - allows a user to update the sign-in credentials of the ATOM device. This is the only editable tab on the CrowdMics page from SageVue
  • You can also access the ATOM through the device list and reach the administrator page.  All settings can be edited via that page.

Cambridge QTPro

  • QT devices must be discovered manually on SageVue, they can be added to the network manually:
    • A guide and explanation can be found here.
    • A QT device ship with IP address 169.254.1.1  They can support DHCP and will report their IP on the front LCD screen
  • Once a QTPro device is added to SageVue it will appear on the device list with this icon:CSM_Indicator.jpg
  • The Device Info tab gives general information about the device. Information on this tab is read-only unless otherwise specified.
    • Location - gives the physical, user-named location of the Qt device.
    • Firmware Version  - provides the current firmware version of the device.
    • IP Address  -  gives the IP address of the device. Clicking the IP Address will launch the QtPro Management Console.
    • Mac Address - gives the device Mac address
    • Errors - lists any errors currently on the device. Clicking CLEAR ERRORS will clear this field.
    • Labels - shows any labels assigned in SageVue
  • Management of the QTPro device can be done by clicking on it within your device list.  Bringing up the webpage of that specific device.

Cambridge Dynasound

  • Dynasound devices must be discovered manually on SageVue, they can be added to the network manually:
    • A guide and explanation can be found here.
    • The Dynasound products have set IP addresses before being shipped. We have a guide on what IP addresses are assigned prior to shipping.
  • Once a Dynasound device is added to SageVue it will appear on the device list with this icon:CSM_Indicator.jpg
  • The Dynasound device page gives read-only information:
    • Location - gives the physical, user-named location of the Dynasound device.
    • IP Address  -  gives the IP address of the device.
    • Firmware Version  - provides the current firmware version of the device.
    • Error Count - lists the number of errors on the device.
    • Last Error - gives a description of the last error present on the device.
    • Mac Address - gives the device Mac address
    • Labels - show any labels assigned in SageVue 
  • Configuration and making changes to the Dynsasound devices must be done via the Privacy Manager Software.

Unsupported products

  • Audia and Nexia do not support the RESTful API, and therefore do not interact with SageVue.
  • The Community line of loudspeakers and amplifiers do not interact with SageVue at this time.
  • Modena products do not interact with SageVue at this time.
  • Vocia products do not interact with SageVue at this time.
  • TesiraFORTE X and Devio SCX products do not interact with SageVue at this time.
